Why Iraq?

After watching LEADING TO WAR, many viewers have wondered why President Bush and his administration were so driven to go to war.  They worked extremely hard for over 14 months to sell the war in Iraq to the U.S. public.

Since most of the justifications for the war were not true, and since the majority of our allies opposed the war, one is left to ask – what were the real motives behind this war?

LEADING TO WAR and this website focus on how the administration accompished its goal of marketing the war; ‘why’ is a complex and compelling question, no less important, but one that is not addressed here.

No doubt this question will be explored by historians and others for many years to come.
